Hello, and welcome
to my website!
I'm Amy
André, a writer and an LGBT*
and bi community advocate. I created this site to connect
with others and spread the word about issues that matter. Visit
my blog, send me a note, and let's
see how we can collaborate!
I have a
master's degree in sexuality studies,
and, currently, I'm a Point
Foundation Scholar at the Haas
School of Business at University
of California - Berkeley, where I'm getting an MBA with a
focus on nonprofit management.
I'm a film
afficionada and recently directed a documentary titled On
My Skin, about a mixed-race transgender man and his family.
You can bring the film to your event by clicking
here.
Book Club:
Best
Sex Writing 2008, a new anthology from Rachel
Kramer Bussel, features "the best sex journalism of the
year," and I'm proud to have an essay in it. Check out the
book's website
and get your copy

| Action
Zone: I'm taking action to spread the word about bisexual
health and LGBT lives. Check out my new Press
page for links to recent articles that include interviews
with me. And, for you journalists out there, please contact
me if you would like to set up an interview -- I'm happy
to help you with your story! |

*LGBT stands
for "lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender." Fifty percent
of the LGB (sexual identity minority) population in the US identifies
as bisexual; and, as I write in the book Bisexual
Health, bisexuals have many of the same issues as others
in the LGBT community -- and many unique ones as well. For this
reason, I use the phrase "LGBT and bi community"
in my work.
