*LGBT
stands for "lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender."
Fifty percent of the LGB (sexual identity minority) population
in the US identifies as bisexual; and, as I write in the book
Bisexual
Health, bisexuals have many of the same issues as
others in the LGBT community -- and many unique ones as well.
For this reason, I use the phrase "LGBT and bi
community" in my work.
